He is survived by: his children, Colleen Pickard, Lisa Blair (Pickard), Vickey Smith, Michael Edwards and Jesse Pickard; his stepdaughter Vickie Apted; his fiancé Sandie Preston; and his sisters, Doris Schuler and Linda Pickard-Hutcherson (Johnny). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

The family requests that contributions in Michael's memory be made to MERF (3044 Bardstown Road, Suite 281, Louisville, KY 40205).
