He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bennett and Jessie Mae Bennett; and his family, David Lee Bennett, Deborah Bennett, Larry "Blue" Bennett, William "Butch" Bennett and James Edward Lee.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Casey, Frank Bennett and Miles Bennett; his former wife Simone Carter; his grandchildren, Jalen Casey and McKenna Casey; and his siblings, Clarice Green, Victor Bennett and Alex Bennett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
