She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd E. Hathaway and Ollie Simpson Hathaway; her husband Harvey Lee Kirchbaum; her siblings, Mildred Hardin, Dorothy Selmar and Charles Hathaway; and her nieces, Pamela Carol Lucas and Sandra Hutsell.

She is survived by: her daughter Alice Lee Kirchbaum of Jeffersonville, IN; her nephew Charles Lindenmayer of Charlestown, IN; and her niece Teresa Zollman of Charlestown, IN..
