We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2024, at the age of 85, Leonice G. Tonnies (Clarksville, Indiana), born in Middletown, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Leonice leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Leonard Swanson and Neva Swanson; and her brother Allen Swanson. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Sherry Swanson; her niece Stacey Swanson; and her nephew Steven Swanson.
The family requests that contributions in Leonice's memory be made to Dubois County Humane Society in Jasper, Indiana or Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell, CT.
