He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Fagg McKay and Royal Clyde McKay; his wife Velma Jo Banta McKay; and his siblings, Ralph E. McKay, Frank Wade McKay, Clarence Guy McKay, Arthur William McKay, Clifford Jerome "Jerry" McKay, Mary Ida Wentworth, Robena Elva "Bee" Armes, Rebecca Lucille "Lute" Liter, Emme Lou Hartley and Phoebe Anna Hensley.
He is survived by: his children, Eric McKay (Teresa) of Winter Haven, Florida, Brenda Gittner (Fred) of Otisco, Rhonda Bowyer (Jim Bowyer) of Louisville, Carol Ann Hargett (Mike) of Fairborn and Darlene Adams (Carlin) of Burlington, Kentucky; his sister-in-law Mary Charlotte May (Carlos) of Hanover, Indiana; his grandchildren, John, Linda Jo, Tammy, David, Mark of Joleen, J. D, Michelle, Nicholas, Kyle and Katie; his great grandchildren, Cheryl, Jerret, Lauren, Shane, Ian, Ethan, Brody, Braxton, Bryce, Bryson, Sasha and Lucy; and his great great grandchild Kinsley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
