He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Ayers and Hestel Ayers; and his sister Pat Doherty. He is survived by: his wife Connie Jennings; his sister Gail Shepherd of Paducah, KY; his sons, Jeffrey Ayers of Evansville, Christopher Ayers (Debbie) of Conway and Matthew Ayers (Jenny) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Ariel Elizabeth Ayers of Conway, SC, Cassidy Sue Ayers of Evansville, IN, Taylor Elizabeth Ayers of Evansville, IN, Bryson Matthew Ayers of Louisville, KY and Hadley Grace Ayers of Louisville, KY; and his great grandchild Savanna Grace Fowler of Conway, SC.
Memorial contributions may be designated to the Tri County Shrine Club in Clarksville, Indiana, in honor of his father-in-law, Paul Jennings, or to Norton Children's Hospital c/o Children's Hospital Foundation in Louisville in honor of his grandchildren.
