She was predeceased by: her husband George L. Ward; her parents, Horace Haney and Genevive Haney; and her siblings, Pauline Brown, Samuel H., Carl B. and Harry T. Haney.

She is survived by: her sister Marie Smith; her grandchildren, Ryan Lott and Katheryn Durbin (Brent); her great grandchildren, Brendyn and Emberly Durbin; and also, Darren and Melania Ward.
