He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Slaughter and Georgia Slaughter; his wife Beverly Slaughter (Winders); his son-in-law Rod E. Neal; and his siblings, Laverne Staples, Naomi Edmunds, LeRoy Slaughter and Donnie Slaughter.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Neal; his granddaughter Ashton M. Neal; his great grandchildren, Aden V. Neal and Easton E. Neal; his siblings, Alvetta Bryant, Linda Edwards (Welby), Wanda Bacon (Donnie), Lowetta Jenkins, Juanita Happel, Dottie Franck and Paul Slaughter; his sister-in-law Diana Hammond (Doug); his niece Danielle Woods; and his nephews, Bart Hammond and Eli. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
