As Betty Sue departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Betty Sue. Though Betty Sue may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Payton Ooten and Olean Ooten (Wray); her daughter Ruth Ann Pate; her brother Jackie Ooten; her husband Leroy Hughes; and her cousins, James Wray (Vivian), Carol Middleton, Karl Wray (Lori), Russell Wray and Ruby Wray.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
