Janet Summerfield Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Summerfield of Clarks Hill, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Janet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Marks and Hester Marks (Bowen); her husband Robert P. Summerfield; and her children-in-law, Barbara Summerfield and Richard Carles.
She is survived by: her children, Deb J. Carles of Lafayette, Steve Summerfield of Clarks Hill and Scott Summerfield (Wendy) of Lafayette; and her sister Phyllis Eavey of Lafayette. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Twenty-one great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
