He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Lee and Willie Mae Ewing (Reynolds); and his sisters, Alma Luette Burgan (Tinley), Montete Sue Ulrey (Bernard "Sonny"), Reta Kay Ewing and Donna June Swank (Gerald "Jerry").
He is survived by: his brother Wallace Grain; his significant other Virginia Callahan Ewing (Callahan); his children, Tina Marie Kalman (David) of Kirklin, Trena Lee Hunt (Stephen) of Kirklin and Brian Chadwell Ewing (Rachelle Brown) of Cicero; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Marie Pickett (Eric Brandon) of Sheridan and Wesley Adam Malbone; his great grandchildren, Eugene Bennett Pickett and Baby Pickett; his brothers, Bernard Gale Ewing (Louise Lindenmayer) of Sheridan and Kerman Lee Ewing of Sheridan, Special; and also, David Wesley Malbone of Sheridan, Drew, Laurie Hunt (Rankin) of Kirklin, James Tyson Hunt and Emma Lee Hunt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the American Cancer Society.
