It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Ray Schaefer of Chrisney, Indiana, born in Fayette, Iowa, who passed away on September 8, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carl and Verla Ellen Schaefer (Scales); his siblings, Tom Schaefer, Lyle Schaefer, Mary Scott, Viola Devillez, Helen Schaefer, Cora Miley, Rosie Durbin and Evie Turner; and his great grandchild Olivia Tru Ann Montgomery.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Schaefer; his children, Billy Schaefer (Tammy), Randy Schaefer (Renee), Jeff Schaefer, Nancy Myers (Kevin), Pam Ludwig, Jim Nugent, Lloyd Nugent (Tracy), Kevin Nugent (Carole), Karen Parnell (Chris) and Kathy Hughes; and his sister Grace Talbert. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
