She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hobbs and Iness Hobbs (Hardesty); her husband Charles Kimsey; and her siblings, C. L. Hobbs, Jewell Hobbs, Laughveign Morrison, Corine Hobbs and Ruby Tinsley.
She is survived by: her daughter Shirley Slane (Thomas) of Valparaiso; her granddaughters, Jennifer Berrier of Valparaiso and Suzanne Slane of Valparaiso; and her great grandchildren, Kyler Berrier, Marlee Berrier, Sophia Eli, Claire Eli and Stella Eli. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
