It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sophie Navarro of Chesterton, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on December 18, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Georgeadis and Jennie Georgeadis (Staninos); her husband James Navarro; her siblings, George Georgeadis, Bessie Buczek and Helen Pole; and her nephew Pete Buczek.

She is survived by: her children, James Navarro (Deborah) of Easley, SC, Joanne Eubanks (Randy) of Chesterton, IN and Ron Navarro (Kim) of South Bend, IN; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, Lauren, Robin, Danielle and John; her nieces and nephews, Patricia Nulton, Dr. Janet Stropes, Sonny, Greg and Joey Buczek; and her great-niece Ashlee. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
