He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Martin Harper and Norma Gene Harper (Cook); and his siblings, Betty Cunningham, Barbara Wilson, Bonnie Robertson and Willie Harper.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jimmie Harper of Georgia, Kristi Thornburgh of Alabama, Kathy Bradley of Alabama and Evelyn Harper of Alabama; his brothers-in-law, William Nicholson (Marilyn) of Chesterton, IN, James Nicholson (Prescott Handley) of St. Cloud, MN and Thomas Nicholson of Chesterton, IN; and his pet Sadie. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.
