He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Nelson (Laura) of West Lafayette, IN, Wendy Nelson of Evanston, IL and Leslie Makovic (George) of Western Springs, IL; his grandchildren, Andy Nelson (Rachel) of Crestwood, KY, Greg Nelson (Emily) of Cincinnati, OH, Diane Makovic of Western Springs, IL and Kelly Makovic of Western Springs, IL; and his great grandchildren, Freya and Cosimo Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
