He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Whalls and Nellie Whalls; his former wife JoAnne D. Yaros; his wife JoAnn Whalls; and his grandson Michael Whitcomb.
He is survived by: his daughters, Darlene Edmonds (Kim), Cherrie Luke and Marsha Sanders (John); his stepchildren, Marianne Whitcomb (Ronald Koselke), Joseph Silhavy and Vicky Andrews (Ross); and his daughters, Judy Mekola (John) and Tammy Csmereka (Michael). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Dunes Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
