He is survived by: his wife Shirley Havner (Lorenz) of Chesterton, IN; his son Roy Havner (Sarah) of Porter, IN; his grandchildren, Jacob Havner (Leslie) of Oregon and Aryn Havner (Donovan Hamilton) of Michigan City, IN; and his niece Connie Buckley.
