She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Johnson and Myrtle Johnson; her spouse George H. Dougherty; her children, Jeaneen Dougherty of Chesterton, Keith Dougherty (Beth) of Valparaiso and Kelly Dougherty-Reed (Tim) of Avon, IN; her grandchildren, Rachel Michalec (John) of Valparaiso, Kelsey Heeps (Max) of Los Angeles, CA, Joe Dougherty (Jenna) of Valparaiso, Nathan Reed (Brittany) of San Francisco, CA and Megan Reed (Dan Snyder) of Valparaiso; her great grandchildren, Dallas Michalec of Valparaiso and Remy Reed of San Francisco, CA; her brother-in-law Kenneth Dougherty (Mary) of Jacksonville, FL; and her siblings, Robert Johnson and Gloria Hughart. She was also cherished by her numerous nieces and nephews.
