He was predeceased by: his parents, Evangelista Castro Mercado and Elena Arce. He is survived by: his wife Raquel; his children, Eduardo Escalante, Daniel Castro (Keri), Alfredo and Judith Castro; his grandchildren, Nicholas Alonso (Alyssa), Joseph Sense and Amanni Escalante; his sister Carmen Lopez (Pedro) of Portage; his mother-in-law Juanita Rivera; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Pluemer (Frank), Noemi Lugo (David) of Florida and Elizabeth Clements (Tom) of Florida; and his godchildren, Angel Garcia, America Garcia and Alexis Garcia. He is also survived by nephews, nieces.
