He was predeceased by: his father Charles F. Payne; his brother John Kevin Payne; and his grandson Cameron Austin Payne. He is survived by: his wife Regina Payne (Spangler); his mother Joan Payne (Holmes); his children, Chasity Kindler (Kris), Melissa Jo Payne (Scott) and Steven Lee "Cooter" Payne (Melissa); his stepchildren, Woody Fesler (Katie), Becca Case (Jared) and Jenny Macy; and his brother Randy Payne (Cindy). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two nephews.
