It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rena Kern of Charlestown, Indiana, born in Edna, Kentucky, who passed away on July 5, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kanawaha Bailey and Zona Mann Bailey; her husband John T. Kern, Sr.; her son John T. Kern, Jr.; her grandsons, Johnny Kern, III and Zachary Kern; and her siblings, Rose, Bessie, Wonie, Rella Melvin, Hassel and Dorsie.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy W. Kern, Sr. (Rhonda) of Otisco, IN and Delvinia Truman of Charlestown; and her sister Reva Collet of West Liberty, KY. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren 23 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.
