She was predeceased by: her son William Ray Hardin; her husband Joseph Garland Newton; her parents, John Robert Wheatley and Mary Ida Wheatley; and her siblings, Donnie Wheatley and Jane Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Elizabeth Owens (Michael) of Charlestown, IN and Gerald Lee Hardin of Campbellsville, KY; her siblings, John Wheatley of Charlotte, NC, Butch Wheatley of Campbellsville, KY, Steve Wheatley of Lebanon, KY, Rita Lamkin of Louisville, KY, Barbara McClain of Lexington, KY and Sarah Tabar-Walker of Lexington, KY; and her grandchildren, Kelly Rivers, Carla Hardin, Brandi Owens and Casey Hardin.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is restricted to 50% capacity.
