She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Donald Barnhart; her son John Wayne Smith; and her siblings, Charles, Ray, Leonard, Archie, Darrell, Arthur Montgomery, Gloria Rosengarn, Phyllis Vest, Vivian Castaneda and Angela King.
She is survived by: her parents, William Henry and Viola Bell Lewis Montgomery; her son Carl Ray Smith; her brother Jerry Montgomery of Scottsburg, IN; and her significant other Dave Guethlein. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchilren; several nieces and nephews.
