With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Junior Dwight Monroe of Charlestown, Indiana, who passed away on May 18, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Monroe and Juanita Rowlett Monroe; and his son Michael Steven "Mike" Monroe. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ackerman; his daughters, Beverly Barnes (Bob) of Charlestown and DeJean Marker-Brock (Rusty) of Sorrento, Florida; and his grandchildren, Mark Monroe, Kristie Lock-Williams, Kyle Lock and Tiffany Marker-Norwood. He is also survived by his eleven great grandchildren; his one great great grandson.
