He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Richardson and Helen Schott Richardson; his daughter Debbie Richardson; and his sister Virginia Vair. He is survived by: his daughter Betty "Susie" Lawson; his sister Jeanette Wilhoite; his grandchildren, Doug, Ashley and Micah; his great grandchildren, Aaniyah, Malayah, Bella, Rylie, Calli, Greyson and Sutton; his friend Mimi Sabie; and his pet Maggie. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
