He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Cooper and Elsie Cooper (Burton); his siblings, Gerald, Leonard, Lamar, Ostelle and Velma; his grandson Dustin; and his daughter-in-law Nannette.
He is survived by: his wife B. Elizabeth "Bounce" Cooper; and his children, Sam Jr., David (Pat), Shane (Tonia), Larry (Carolyn), Lynn (Frank) and Linda (Ted). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made the Chandler Church of the Nazarene.
