He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene N. Herr and Marian Louise Herr (Galey); his wife Debra Herr; and his brothers, Andy Herr and David Herr.

He is survived by: his sons, Erik Herr (Kimberly) of McDonough, GA, Ethan Herr of Evansville, IN and Bryce Herr of Evansville, IN; and his grandchildren, Christine Herr, Hunter Herr, April Herr and Caroline Herr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
