With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Hess (Chandler, Indiana), born in Huntingburg, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gillham and Emma Gillham; her husband James Hess; her siblings, Donnie, Joe Gillham and Viola Schnell; and her daughter-in-law Betty Miller.

She is survived by: her sons, Bob Miller (Jackie) and Bill Miller; her stepdaughters, Patsy Knecht (Tim), Shelby Rauth (Scott) and Linda; and her grandchildren, Billy, Brenda, Melinda, Jared, Randy and Tracy. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; many more relatives, friends.
