She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Houghton and Martine Houghton (Basham); and her siblings, Della Staup, Juanita Kissinger, Nellie Cummings, Lois Miller, Joyce Houghton, Mary Houghton, Donna Marshall and Charles Houghton.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Gail Whitney (Butler) of Chandler, IN and Donald Lee Brinker of Los Angeles, CA; her siblings, Doris Pemberton of Henderson, KY, Jim Houghton of Evansville, IN and Loran Houghton of Evansville, IN; her grandchildren, Eric Whitney (Amy), Stephen Whitney, Devan Coomes, Kira Coomes and Lyric Brinker; and her great grandchildren, Emmett, Wyatt, Elli, Aden, Brooklyn and Xavier Whitney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
