He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Abney and Flossie Shear Abney; his wife Geneva Abney; his son Clifford Abney; and his brother Dock Abney.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Tucker of Centerville, Linda Abney of Houston, Texas, Rick Abney (Sandy) of Centerville and Bill Abney (Amanda) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Kristi Tucker, Lesley Teeguarden (John), Michele Warner, Bill Abney (Debbie) and Cheryl Abney-Brotz (Andy); his great grandchildren, Scott Shurte, Brian, John Teeguarden, Shelbie, Nicholas Warner, Garrett Abney-Booker and Chloe Abney-Brotz; and his siblings, Flora Mae Taylor of Rockcastle County, Faye Bullen of Rockcastle County and Fred Abney of Rockcastle County. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
