He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert O. Gethers and Gladys L. Willis-Copeland; his stepmother Cletis "Rusty" Gethers; his sister Katheryn Neal; his nephew Clayton Hendrix; his niece Jessie Emrick; and his friends, David Ragle and Tim Clark.
He is survived by: his daughter Megan; his son-in-law Scott Nolte; his grandchildren, Chloe and Joseph Nolte; and his siblings, Bobbye Allman (Dennis), Johnnye Gethers-Hendrix (Ed Byrd), Debbie McComis and Michael Gethers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
