He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Long and Mary Shannon Long; and his siblings, Johnny Long, Kathleen Schmidt, Shirley Butcher, Mary Rose Niekamp and Joan Prod.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy K. Chambers Long; his sons, Greg Long (Meda) of Kankakee, Tony Long of San Diego, Steve Long (April) of Tipton and Michael Long (Dacia) of Bolton, Mississippi; and his sisters, Betty Imel of Portland, Rita Long of Fort Recovery, Ohio., Peggy Champ of Fort Recovery, Ohio. and Pat VanTrees of Fort Recovery, Ohio.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
