He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert F. Runkle and Hilda Annette Opp Runkle; his wife Nancy E. Ryan Runkle; and his siblings, Betty June Uhlman, Albert P. and John Runkle.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Tillson (Junior) of Oxford, Ala, Sandra Spiece (Ed) of Fishers, Jacqueline Pugh (Larry) of Farmland, Vickie Graw of Milton, Teresa Dearing (Ray) of Elkhorn, Mary Lockwood (Curt) of Virginia Beach, Lisa Gilbert (James) of Cambridge City, Indiana and Kelly Runkle (April) of Milton; his sister Magdalena Bowmer of Winchester, Indiana; his stepsister Betty Jane Huber of Muncie, Indiana; his nephew Paul Uhlman (Betty); and his close friends, Marilyn, Randy Coldiron, Barbara and Lawrence McQueen. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
