He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennie Cross and Marie Street Cross; his wife Nancy Lee Woods Cross; his grandsons, Trey Kidwell and Hunter Hancock; and his siblings, Al "Junior" Cross, Bill Cross, Norma Brown and Sue Hicks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Throop (Earl) of Centerville, Cheryl Arnold (Joe) of Richmond, Lori Crownover (Roger) of Economy and Kelley Hancock (Frank) of Hagerstown, Indiana; his grandchildren, Erin Haskett (Zeb Williams), Brett Haskett (Andrea), Allyson Bowman (Owen Bertsch), Noah Hancock (Morgan Steele) and Cole Hancock; his great grandchildren, Jesse Williams and Andie Bertsch; and his brother Mike Brooke (Mary) of Frankfort, Indiana.. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
