He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Glendon Sr. and Dorothy LeMaster Hunt (Locke); and his wife Barbara J. Eadler (Asbury). He is survived by: his former wife Phyllis Imogene Tipple; his children, Charles Glendon Hunt III (Kathleen), Nancy Lee Keithley (Steven), Elaine Kay Showalter and Cheryl Sue Phelps; his grandchildren, Andy Hunt (Lynne), Greg Hunt, Steven Keithley, Joe Keithley (Mo), Tracy Keithley, David Keithley (Shanon), Sarah Walker (Ryan), Suzie Huffman (Troy) and Tim Phelps (Regina); his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Riley, Henry, Josie, Alyssa, Mason and Brady; and his great great grandchild River.
