He was predeceased by: his nephew Chad Knies. He is survived by: his parents, Lawrence Thewes and Marilyn Thewes (Persohn); his wife Gail Thewes; his children, April Mullis (Derek) and Lance Thewes (Brittany Partenheimer); his parents-in-law, Jim of Celestine, IN and Janet Buechler of Celestine, IN; and his siblings, Michelle Keller (Dean) of Dubois, IN, Beverly Harris (Tom), Paul Thewes (Susie) and Duane Thewes (Courtney). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Celestine Volunteer Fire Department or the Celestine Community Club.
