With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John R. Luebbehusen of Celestine, Indiana, born in Ferdinand, Indiana, who passed away on November 10, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Paulus Luebbehusen; his wife Janie; his mother Ceclilia Luebbehusen (Krampe); his brother Norbert Luebbehusen; and his brothers-in-law, Daniel Schnell and Kenneth Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Wohlberg (Michael) of Celestine, IN, Nancy Buechlein of Jasper, IN, Allen Luebbehusen (Maureen) of Celestine, IN and Michael Luebbehusen of Indianapolis, IN; his siblings, Tom Luebbehusen (Linda) of Ferdinand, IN, Mary Agnes Johnson (Alan) of Louisville, KY and Martha Englert (Kenny) of Ferdinand, IN; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Luebbehusen of Ferdinand, IN, Bob Schnell (Cheryl) of Jasper, IN and Dave Schnell (Myra) of Celestine, IN.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, one great-grandson, six step-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Celestine Community Club, Celestine Fire Department, Celestine Park, or to St. Celestine Cemetery Fund.
