He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Davis; his children, Lynn Kuiper and Paul Erickson; his great grandchild Austin Smitka; and his siblings, Betty Hartwig, Dorothy Albert and Jerry Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Nichols (Kim) of Jamestown, TN, Robert Nichols (Diane) of Highland, IN, Kathy Mayden (Louis) of Byrdstown, TN and Antoinette Horsley (Paul) of St. Mary's, GA; and his siblings, Paul Davis (Bonnie), Ruth Nagengast, Ila Jane Buffum and Sally Mitchell (Charles). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Burdan Funeral Home and Crematory (12901 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake, IN 46303).
