He was predeceased by: his brother Calvin Ritsema (Ruth); his parents, James E. Ritsema and Jane Ritsema; and his parents-in-law, Warren and Lou Van Til.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ritsema; his children, Robert M. Ritsema (Lisa) and Laura Schreiber (Gary); his grandchildren, Austin Ritsema (Shianne), Seth Ritsema, Makenzie Ritsema, Margot Schreiber (Evan Elmore), Amanda Schreiber, Garret Schreiber and Benjamin Schreiber; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Knox Ritsema; his brothers, Dr. James A. Ritsema (Esther), Gordon Ritsema (Drynda) and Rev. John Ritsema (Cindy); and his siblings-in-law, Rick Van Til (Barb), Elaine Baker (Mitch), Kathy Alderink and Karen Slopsema.
