He was predeceased by: his spouse LaVonda Koster; and his parents, Cornelius Koster and Carrie Koster. He is survived by: his siblings, James Koster, Terry Nelson (late Curtis) and Rodney Koster (Janis); and his close friend Linda Binkowski.
