He is survived by: his wife Terry Burckey; his children, Wendy Reed (Mike) of Cedar Grove, James W. Burckey (Carly) of Cedar Grove, Nicholas Burckey (Nicole) of Liberty Township, Stephanie Barrett (Donnie) of Brookville and Jessica Russell-McMillin (Wendel) of Harrison; his grandchildren, Audrey, Charlie, Henry, Noah, Luke, Ryan, Samantha, Matthew, Andrew, Aaron, Adam, Julie and Emma; his brother Fred "Fritz" Burckey (Paulette); and his niece Kristy Meyer (Brian).
