He is survived by: his wife Carole Ann Root (Brown) of Cayuga; his son Andy Root (Juli) of Covington; his grandchildren, Craig Root (Kadie) of Covington, Courtney Root of Arizona and Cassi Root of Covington; his great grandchild Cecilia Root; and his siblings, Carl Hinkle (Alta) of North Carolina, Clara Gill (Jerry) of Dana, Mary Patton (Sam) of Lodi, Marvin Root of Minnesota and Patty Root of Montana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
