He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sprouls and Erschel Sprouls (Hughes); and his wife Anita Marie Berlin. He is survived by: his children, Lora Ann Metzger (Jerry) of Delphi, Indiana, Glen Sprouls (Lois) of Illinois, Roy Sprouls (Sheri) of Oakwood, Illinois, Leland Sprouls (Andrea) of Cayuga, Indiana and George Sprouls (Janet) of Cayuga, Indiana; and his siblings, Sharon Bennett (Allan) of Wisconsin, Sandra Kidwell of Illinois and Craig Sprouls (Sandi) of North Carolina. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
