He is survived by: his wife Erika Garland; his children, Michael Garland, Christine (Scott McLendon), Sylvia (Don Nicholson), Patrick (Valerie Garland) and Amy (Carl Hunt); and his siblings, Robert Garland, Charlotte Bendickson, Rose Pederson and Mary Bean.
