He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Ruth (White) and Thomas Shields. He is survived by: his wife Sonna Shields (Bechtel); his stepchildren, Brian Rosales and Shavon Kramarczyk (Josh); his grandchildren, Emily, Madison, Ethan, Dominic and Joshua; and his siblings, Pennina McMullen (Phil), Charles Shields and Charity Maxwell (Tony).
