He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E. Schildt and Gladys I. Wolfensberger Schildt; and his granddaughter Rachael Ann Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Linda Zimmerman Schildt; his children, Brian Schildt (Jill) of Carmel, Indiana, Becky Lee (Mark) of Mt. Auburn and Jennifer Alexander (Jim) of Franklin, Indiana; his siblings, Michael Schildt (Dawn) of Parker, Colorado and Leola Meyer (Arnold) of Byron, Illinois; and his grandchildren, John Stearns (Kelly), Cortney Caplinger (Joey), Gage Jewell (Tiffany), Katie Duncan (Skylar), Emma Grace Alexander and Adam Schildt (Becca). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
