He was predeceased by: his father Christo Ivanov. He is survived by: his wife Susie Ivanova; his daughter Yvelina Ivanova Cox (Jeff); his grandchildren, Andrew and Olivia Cox; his mother Velichkia Ivanova; his brother Dimitar Ivanova; and his nephews, Manol and Christo Ivanov.

He also obtained his MBA in Finance from the University of Indianapolis and was a proud alumni – continuing to support the school and the students with generous donations.
