He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Austin J. Hebenstreit; his children, Carmel High English, Ann Ponty (Brian) of San Carlos, CA, Michael Hebenstreit (Sheila) of Westfield, David Hebenstreit (Mary Anne) and Daniel Hebenstreit (Carol) of Indianapolis; his stepsons, Douglas Kenny, Thomas Kenny (Catherine) and Robert Kenny (Sharon); and his parent Mary. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
