He was predeceased by: his wife Katie; his children, Shannon Knobel (Jeff) and Chris Garland (Ann); his parents, Alberta and Richard; his sister Elizabeth; and his brother-in-law Willie Otto.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, William, Stella, Lucy and Maura.
